About this winery

Originally founded in 1864, the Rocca family farm has grown over the years into a well-established winery in the heart of the renowned Barbaresco region. In 1958, the grandfather purchased land in Rabajà, a prestigious Barbaresco cru. It is on this cru that they produce renowned wines from the famous Nebbiolo grape variety. Product notes

The soil is clay, with marl and limestone. The average age of the vines is around 50 years.

Production notes

The wine is made up exclusively of Dolcetto grapes, which are vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks, with maceration on the skins for 7-10 days. The wine is then aged on the fine lees in the same containers.

Tasting notes

Deep purple in color with aromas of plum, blackberry and cherry. The palate is round and warm with a hint of almond on the finish. Pair with mature cheeses, pasta or rice dishes with meat or mushrooms.

Antonio Galloni, October 2025 (Vintage 2024)

The 2024 Dolcetto d'Alba Trifolè is one of the best Dolcettos I have tasted so far in this vintage. It offers terrific freshness and verve, as so many wines do in 2024, but it also has lovely depth to pull it all together. Hints of lavender, blue/purplish fruit and dried herbs linger. A dollop of whole clusters (20%) is not especially evident. High class.
