About this winery

Originally founded in 1864, the Rocca family farm has grown over the years into a well-established winery in the heart of the renowned Barbaresco region. Production notes

Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Each plot is vinified separately and then blended. The oak barrels are at least 40 months old and are finished outdoors to minimize their influence on the wine. Sulfur is added minimally.

Tasting notes

Intense garnet red. Dense with fruit (blackberries, black cherries and plums), overtones of slightly withered rose and violet petals and spices Warm, elegant and wrapping, long lasting flavour with overtones confirming aromas perceived on the nose with one note of cocoa Paring with meats

Antonio Galloni, October 2025 (Vintage 2022)

The 2022 Barbaresco is fabulous. Aromatic and pliant, with superb depth, the 2022 is total seduction. Raspberry, blood orange, chalk, mint and white pepper are all beautifully lifted. This mid-weight, expressive Barbaresco is flat-out delicious. The straight Barbaresco was made from the less well-exposed parcels, which was definitely a benefit in 2022. This is a terrific success
