About this winery

Benito Ferrara has ancient roots, dating back to the dawn of the last century. Today, it extends over 8 hectares. All areas planted with vines belong to the municipality of Tufo, the hamlet of San Paolo, in the traditional production area for the cultivation of Greco di Tufo vines, and in the municipality of Montemiletto for the production of Aglianico grapes. Product notes

Mixed clay-sandy limestone soil with underlying sulphurous veins. 400/450 m above sea level. Vines 15 to 60 years old 750 cases produced annually

Production notes

Vinification by gentle pressing, the drained must, rigorously protected from oxygen, is clarified by natural sedimentation. Aging: 5/7 months in vats on fine lees regularly resuspended in the wine. Refining: 1 or 2 months in bottle
