Benito Ferrara has ancient roots, dating back to the dawn of the last century. Today, it extends over 8 hectares. All areas planted with vines belong to the municipality of Tufo, the hamlet of San Paolo, in the traditional production area for the cultivation of Greco di Tufo vines, and in the municipality of Montemiletto for the production of Aglianico grapes. Ferrara's vines are planted on steep volcanic slopes 450-600 meters above sea level, where manual harvesting is obligatory and the sulphurous nature of the soil only serves to enhance the aromatic characteristics of the Greco di Tufo grape variety. Everything is organic on the farm and only a little sulfur and copper is used, as the light, steady breezes help reduce the threat of mold and other predators.
