The Massimo Lentsch estate, founded in late 2018, is located on the slopes of Mount Etna. Already the owner of the Tenuta di Castellaro estate on the island of Lipari, Lentsch wanted to embark on a new adventure in volcanic soils and create a niche wine production with unique characteristics of charm and elegance. From this came the new project dedicated to researching and preserving ancient winemaking methods. The core principles are respect for nature and the environment, achieved through the sustainable use of natural energy sources. The new winery will benefit from a natural cooling system thanks to the use of water, soil, and other natural elements that characterize the "green crater"—a kind of Moorish garden on the volcano's slopes! The wind tower will create a natural cooling system to guarantee the perfect temperature and humidity for aging the wine.
