Product notes
Le Crutin is a historic winery located in the heart of the Gramolere, owned by the Manzone family since 2001. In Piedmontese dialect, "Crutin" means a small cellar carved by hand into the rock, where food and wine were once stored. The first vintage was produced in 2000.
Production notes
The hand-picked grapes are harvested in mid- to late October to ensure perfect ripeness. Natural fermentation with the skins lasts 6 to 7 days and preserves the wine's sweetness. Aging on lees in 700-liter barrels for 6 months, followed by approximately 10 months in bottle. After aging, the wine is bottled during the waning moon.
Tasting notes
Refined aromas of cherry, raspberry, and violet, followed by blueberry, vanilla, rose, and plum. Balanced, it offers a long, lingering finish. Delicious with rich and hearty pasta dishes. Pairs well with meats and charcuterie.
