About this winery
Of Basque origin, but considering himself very close to French culture, Telmo Rodriguez studied winemaking at the Bordeaux Institute of Oenology before completing internships with Cos d’Estournel, Jean Louis Chave, and Trevallon. Telmo Rodríguez and his partner and friend Pablo Eguzkiza founded Compañia de Vinos Telmo Rodriguez in 1994. Product notes
Located at an altitude of 500 to 700 metres, we find two types of soils, both of continental origin from the tertiary era. Some are developed on sandstone plateaus and are shallow, flat, stony, limy and of silty texture. The others are found on marl slopes on and are moderately deep, with gentle slopes, less stony, limy and have a very fine texture.
Production notes
Native yeasts. 6-7 months of aging in concrete tanks.
