About this winery
Stanners Vineyard is a small family vineyard and boutique winery dedicated to producing premium Pinot Noir. Cliff and Dorothy work side by side with their son Colin and daughter-in-law Mary. During especially busy times we can always count on family members from the Toronto area to show up for a strenuous week-end in the vineyard, followed by an evening of good food, excellent Pinot Noir, great guitar, and singing.

Product notes
The grapes for our Pinot Noir come from the Narrow Rows plots and other plots in our own vineyard, as well as from the Devil's Wishbone Vineyard, located in the county.
Production notes
The grapes were whole-berry destemmed without crushing and fermented in one-ton vats for approximately two to three weeks. After gentle pressing, the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 13 months. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally during aging to impart smoothness. To prevent oxidation, the wine from the barrels was transferred to vats by gas pressure, with as little disturbance as possible, before bottling.
Tasting notes
A powerful, rich, and precise fruitiness, reflecting the Comté terroir, which continues through to the finish, even dominating it. The palate presents aromas and flavors of cedar, redcurrant, and cherry, layered with supple yet generous tannins, with well-balanced acidity and a long finish. Pair with veal and soft-boiled egg
