Product notes
Northern Piedmont, in Lessona, in the highest rows of the La Prevostura vineyard. Altitude: 390 meters above sea level. Exposure: South. Soil type: 35% ancient marine sand, 40% silt, 25% clay.
Production notes
Fermentation in stainless steel vats with 30 days of maceration, malolactic fermentation in wood. Aged for 22 months in barrels and casks, then for an additional 11 months in bottle.
Tasting notes
Medium ruby red color with pleasant notes of dried cranberries, licorice, and rose petals. An elegant and approachable wine from Upper Piedmont. Lessona is easy to drink young, but will age for many years if you prefer to cellar it. Pair with beef tartare
