The DOMAINE DU CLOSEL family vineyard is located at Château des Vaults, in Savennières, a grand Cru of the Loire. Vines aged 15 to 20 years on a schist-sandstone terroir facing the Loire. Production of 6,700 bottles
Production notes
The vines are trained in double Guyot, although the property has realized that the goblet size is probably much better suited to sunlight issues, therefore with a transition in progress. Aging in fiberglass vats on fine lees for 12 months, and in reducing mode (protected from oxygen)
Tasting notes
Notes of fresh fruit (citrus, white peach), jasmine, and cut grass. The material is dense, never heavy, and the wine takes us into a long finish where quince and pear appear. Pairings with grilled fish and goat cheese
