Today, the 9th generation is at the helm of the estate with Nicolas Maillart. He is thus perpetuating almost 300 years of history and preserving the house's philosophy: to express the potential of the Champagne terroirs in the wines. Since 2009, the estate has been committed to respecting the environment, producing its own solar energy to power 100% of its production.

Massal selection vines, planted in 1973, on sandy soil (chalk subsoil). Ungrafted planting. A rarity, only two Champagne houses, along with Bollinger, had their own rootstocks, before the phylloxera outbreak. Southern exposure, with a location at the top of a hill.
Slow fermentation in barrels with long aging on lees. 100% vinification in barrels. Dosage: 0 g/l
Light yellow color with a warm nose showing mandarin citrus with a fruity apple note as well, and a pleasant acidity on the palate with red apples and a spicy ginger note on the pleasant finish. A GREAT WINE!!! Pair with caviar, lobster, and sweetbreads.
The 2019 Extra Brut Les Coupes Franc de Pied emerges from own-rooted Pinot Noir planted in 1973. It oers notable depth and complexity, all shaped by vinication and aging in French oak. Pear, white owers, spice, chamomile and marzipan all take shape in the glass. Creamy, resonant contours wrap it all together on the very bright close. Dosage is 1 gram per liter. Disgorged: June 2023.
