Tasting notes

Pretty light color with green reflections. On the nose, its delicate aromas of ripe lemon and white peach blend harmoniously with subtle floral notes, prefiguring a refined taste experience. On the palate, the minerality characteristic of the Chablis terroir of Vau Ligneau is fully expressed, accompanied by a lively acidity which gives dynamism to complex flavors of green apple, quince and slightly buttery nuances. The lingering finish leaves an elegant imprint, highlighting the finesse and depth of this Premier Cru which perfectly embodies the authentic and refined expression of Chablis wines. Pairings with seafood and fish in sauce

Neal Martin, June 2024 (Vintage 2022)

The 2022 Chablis Vau Ligneau 1er Cru "La Manufacture" has a straightforward nose with orchard fruit and light grass clipping scents that gain complexity with aeration. The palate is well-balanced, with a crisp line of acidity and plenty of orange pith and mandarin notes. It is not complex, but there is good fruit concentration and sapidity on the nish. Fine. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.

Jancis Robinson, March 2024 (Vintage 2022)

Nutty nose – quite different from the other wines from this ambitious négociant tasted today. Depth and polished texture but less tension than the Chablis tout court presumably because there is more weight to the fruit. Some chewiness on the end. I'd wait awhile for all the elements to settle down and content myself with a cheaper wine from the range for the moment. Lime flavours on the slightly sudden end for the moment.
