About this winery
It takes time, dedication, care, expertise. And great courage. Product notes
This is the wine that made us famous and that keeps us on the edge of our seats with each harvest. The choice to favor noble rot pushes us each year to rigorously select the grapes and, when nature is not favorable, forces us to abandon them. A sacrifice rewarded by a structured wine, full of character and longevity.
Production notes
Late-harvested Albana, selected in several passages only those parts of the bunch and individual berries attacked by noble rot, with the addition of a small percentage of grapes dried in small baskets. Vinification in small stainless steel vats and, in some years, in used French oak barrels. Aged in small-capacity cement and steel vats.
Tasting notes
On the nose, notes of apricot, spicy sweet fruits, honey and caramelized figs. On the palate, pleasant freshness associated with consistent structure, hints of honey and persistent finish. Pairings with foie gras, cheeses and desserts
