Product notes

From the village of Bouzy Grand Cru on chalk soils of the Campanéen. Vine ages: over 30 years old.

Production notes

Maceration on skins for 52 hours Slow. Vinification: Slow fermentation in barrels and vats with a long aging on lees. Low dosage Champagne (generally between 1 and 3 g/l)

Tasting notes

The deep pink color is adorned with a beautiful, persistent bead of bubbles. The nose is a basket of freshly picked red fruits. On the palate, the attack is very vinous, full-bodied, and extends through a wide range of aromas. With great length, this rosé Champagne retains all its elegance thanks to its freshness.

William Kelley, September 2020

The new release of Maillart's NV Brut Rosé Grand Cru is based on the 2015 vintage, complemented by one-third reserve wines, and was disgorged in October 2019 with six grams per liter dosage. Bursting from the glass with expressive aromas of ripe red apples, pears, plums and fresh bread, it's fleshy and enveloping, with an ample core of fruit, ripe but racy acids and a nicely defined finish. Vinous and charming, it's a blend of 60% Pinot Noir (some 7% of which is still red wine) and 40% Chardonnay, all from Bouzy.

Josh Raynolds, January 2025

Pale Orange. Deeply pitched scents of redcurrant, orange pith, musky rhubarb and buttered toast. Densely packed red berry flavors are underscored by a chalky mineral note and pick up a hint of white pepper as the wine opens up. This lithe rosé packs a serious punch, finishing with excellent cut and length and repeating minerality.

Une belle robe rosé saumonée avec une palette coincée entre la cerise et le floral , hibiscus. le nez est subtil . Le jus se montre assez fin , le chardonnay amène le crémeux et de la finesse. La bouche est équilibrée avec une effervescence bien géré
